BOARD MEMBERS
The
CCRPA board and active members are professional archaeologists, tribal members,
historians, anthropologists, interested others who share our goals. The
archaeologists have many years of experience with California archaeology and MA
and PhD. Degrees (university professors and members of CRM firms). The tribal
members have expertise in traditional knowledge and its application to problems
of site preservation, as well as familiarity with archaeological methods and
goals.
PEER REVIEWS
A
major purpose of CCRPA is to provide objective reviews of the documents
submitted to CCRPA for evaluation as to meeting professional standards as well
as compliance with applicable state and federal laws and policies. To avoid
conflicts of interest and to maximize objectivity, the board assigns
submissions to well qualified but disinterested reviewers. These can include active CCRPA members or any
of a number of other qualified volunteers who agree to prepare reviews. Board members evaluate the reviews before
sending them to the authors or agencies who submitted them.
